Installation & Delivery service available in Zone A counties Monday to Saturday. Nationwide delivery available from Zone B Counties & Provinces.

Your item will be delivered within 3-5 working days. Although we always strive to deliver before this.

For large items, if nobody is home to accept the delivery, it will be returned to our warehouse and a re-delivery will be scheduled.
When you purchase online you have a statutory right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days; you then have 14 days from the date you cancelled the order to return the product to Dominic Smith Electrical. It is your responsibility to take reasonable care of the goods prior to returning them; you are responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting in the handing of the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their functionality and suitability.
INSTALLATION
Yes, we offer an Installation Service for Zone A locations.
Zone A: Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow, Cavan, Monaghan & Meath.
The driver will disconnect your old appliance, connect your new appliance, and remove your old appliance for recycling.
PLEASE NOTE: Before we arrive, you will need to make sure of the following:
- Access is clear to the area you want your appliance delivered and / or installed.
- The appliance will fit into the space available and will fit through any doorways / passages.
- In the case of installation, all necessary electrical and plumbing connection points are within 1.5 meters of where the appliance is to be installed.
RETURNS
When you purchase online you have a statutory right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days; you then have 14 days from the date you cancelled the order to return the product to Dominic Smith Electrical. RECYCLING
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-for one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.
You can return all kitchen appliances including fridges, washing machines, dishwashers, cookers etc as well as smaller items like kettles, toasters, blenders, remote controls, batteries or electric toothbrushes. Even your old bicycle lamps can be recycled!
No. You can recycle any of the above items at our stores even if you have not made a purchase with us.
You can return your old product to any of our stores or warehouses. For store locations please see our stores locations and hours.
If you are getting a new product delivered we’ll take your old one back to be recycled. Please ensure your old appliance is disconnected, clean and ready for the driver at the time of delivery.
Yes we do. In the Computers and Electrical department of every store you will find recycling bins for batteries. The batteries that we accept are AA, AAA, C or D and also the flat batteries that are found in watches and toys. Unfortunately we do not accept back any Industrial or car batteries.
There is no charge to return products to any of our stores or warehouses.
We will ensure that your old product is disposed of correctly to reduce the potentially harmful effects caused on the environment and to conserve natural resources.

From 1st July 2014, the following EMC’s apply to some items of electrical equipment:
- Large refrigeration: €10.00 (side-by-side/ American style fridges)
- Smaller refrigeration: €5.00 (larder/two door/ under counter fridges, chest freezers above and below 150 litres)
- Large appliances: €5.00 (washing machines, dryers, cookers)
- Large T.V.’s: €5.00 (73+cm)
- Gas discharge lamps: €0.15 (All fluorescent lamps, CFL’s, sodium and metal halide lamps)
- LED light sources: €0.05 (LED Lamps & Luminaires, with the exception of LED household luminaires)
CLICK & COLLECT
You can collect your order at any of our stores. Simply follow the below steps:
- Select the Click & Collection option upon checking out your order.
- Choose which store you would like to collect your item.
- Await confirmation email as we get your item ready for collection.
- You will receive another email as soon as your order is available for collection.
- Please bring the below when collecting your order:
- Order number/Invoice
- A current, valid photo ID (driver’s licence or passport)
- The card used for the purchase.
