The Dimplex Elva is an inset electric fire that works equally well in a traditional fireplace opening or freestanding against a wall with the optional spacer kit. No chimney or flue is needed, so fitting it is far simpler than a gas or solid fuel alternative.

It runs on Optiflame technology, producing a convincing flickering flame effect over a realistic glowing log bed. With 2kW of heat output across two settings and a built-in thermostat, it keeps the room at a comfortable temperature without any fuss. When the weather is warmer, the flame effect runs independently of the heat — so you get the look of a real fire all year round.

The remote control lets you adjust heat, flame effects, and ambient lighting from across the room, and the 8-hour programmable timer means it can be set to suit your routine.
